Greenskins Assemble!

Greetings Dorklords!
In April 2013 I had gathered up my entire painted Ork army to show you all. At that time it had came in at 208 models and 5005pts all painted up... now 16 months later I think its time for an update!
As my Waaagh! continues to grow, i'm happy to show you where it now currently sits as a Painted army.
Ringing in with 273 models and 8165pts (incl. various upgrades), I give you....

Its got a bit of everything from Trukks, Dakka Jets, Boom Wagons, Lootas, Tank Bustas, Deffkoptas, Grot Tanks, Killa Kanz, Nob Bikers , Tonz of Boyz, even a couple of our very own Lords of War!... plus a whole bunch more. Waaaagh Skarshak has an excellent assortment to take on virtually any foe and is proud to say we have a lot of fun doing so every single time!
Regardless of the army, it's always impressive to see everything on display!
Wont be long before i'm gonna need a bigger table. LOL
Good old BOOM Wagon.
Da Rumbla'z (Nob Bikers) are always ready for a Krump'n!
Herd'n Da Grots.
Da Kan Wall on Da March!
Da Armor'd Core Rolls Out.
Looking Down on Da Horde... One of my favorite pic's!
 Sneaky lil Git!
Lord "GIMPY" - Da Big Mek Stompa
Wagrimm "Da Krumpa" Skarshak is very pleased with how his WAAAGH! has progressed!
Again with 273 models Painted and totalling 8162pts with the usual upgrades i'd normally take in a typical game (so this could be higher if I maxed out with all the options), my collection of Greenskins continues to grow and hilariously Krump its way around the region.
On top of this I've got around another 2500 to 3000pts of Orky goodness to build and paint up, which will eventually stand along side Waaagh Skarshak. As always there's something to work on here in Da Mek Shop!
I'll eventually be posting these pic's (and more) of WAAAAGH SKARSHAK to Da Mek Shop facebook page. So please check it out, plus all the additional Orky fun, and be sure click on "Like" if ya haven't done so already!
Keep building and painting and I'll catch ya on the battlefield!
Skarshak... Out.

Nothing Beats Kustom #13

It's been a while but it's that time again when something comes along that makes you pause and soak in the Awesome.
When the Bitz decide to all fall into place that make ya go WOWZA!
This time around our fellow Mek Head Dobson Stancill has Looted up one of those impressive Oomie creations.

Behold & Enjoy... Da Kustom Looted Knight!
This is one Krazy Awesome Kit Bash!
 "Are you look'n at me?"
 DAKKA in its truest form.
The detail that Dobson put in to this build is Fantastic...
... Seriously, It's a thing of Beauty!
This is a truly inspiring build that Dobson has created, of which I hope it'll get those creative juices flowing in all of us as we go about our own creations! Ya did good Mr. Stancill... Gork n Mork will surely be proud of the work you put in to this. We'll be keeping an eye out for your future Kustom creations!
Till next time ya bunch of Greenskins!

Traits of Character: Part 2

We're back and as promised I've got some more shiny new gubbinz for ya!
Last time I had posted up a Kustom set of Ork Warlord Trait Cards from Codex: Orks that you can use as a physical reminder of which trait your Warboss has during your future games.

This time around I give you a second set of Warlord Trait Cards as presented in the new Waaagh! Ghazghkull Supplement.

I also have another "Bonus" card for you to use when your ready to call your WAAAGH! while fielding the Beast of Armageddon himself!
Make it Good and make it LOUD! Hur Hur Hur.
Feel free to add these to your collection and I hope that they'll see lots of use in many Orky games to come.
Designing both sets of cards has been a lot fun and I'll no doubt do up a set that corresponds to the Warlord Traits found in the 7th edition 40k Rulebook. Those will be posted as I get to them, and who knows... maybe sooner than later!
Hahahahaha... I'm already getting a few ideas.
Enjoy the Kustom Warlord Trait Cards and I'll catch ya next time.
Keep Them Dice Rolling.

Traits of Character!

Greetings gamers, Skarshak here with your next dose of Orky goodness! Huzzah.
Some of you who know me, have seen me play a game or 3 using a certain set of Warlord Trait cards. I'd randomly draw from this deck instead of rolling on the chart as per BRB rules. It was a little more random and seeing that the Orkz didn't have their own set of codex traits, I was stuck using the rulebook Traits... this just made it more fun!

Click Here as this the link to where I originally found the Warlord Trait cards online a while back.
Many (but not all) of the current 40k codices are covered and I encourage you to use them.

With the new release of our beloved Ork Codex, I decided to jump on board and create my own set of Ork Warlord Trait Cards, as the site above has not been updated as of this blog posting.

I present them to you all as an option for your own personal use in your future games... Enjoy!

The primary use of these cards is to physically show which trait you have "rolled" for the game. Many times have I seen others forget about their trait for the entire game... I myself have even been guilty of it. It happens to us all from time to time and hopefully with these cards Gork n Morks intentions will be a tad more clear.
Here's a "Bonus" card for you all to have some fun with.
Show it to your opponent and throw it in the air when you call a mighty WAAAGH!
Your Neighbours will love you!
Naturally these cards are made for Fan Use only and no Legal Shenanigans are ever intended through their use. It's what da Oomies call Common Sense, but if ya do come across some git trying to make a few teef off em... give him a wollop and feed em to da Squigs. Hur Hur Hur.

Stay Tuned as ill be posting up a set of the Traits out of the Waaagh! Ghazghkull supplement. Give me a couple days for those. With that I'll catch you greenskins next time.

Shiny New Gubbin'z!

Greetings Boyz (& Girlz), with my city trip done its back to work in Da Mek Shop and I brought some new gubbinz back with me to tinker with! Like so many of you Greenskins out there, I was able to pick up the new Ork codex, along with a few other goodies, and i'm happy to say i'm pleased with what I've seen thus far!

After reading the new codex a couple times, a lot of the adjustments that were made I agree with, such as the Dakka Jets Waaagh shooting changing to +1 shot per gun and Boss Nobs (in Boyz Squads) being able to take Kombi-Skorchas... Yay more fire! Sadly there are some changes that have made me scratch my head a bit... the changes to Cybork Body & the Mob Rule being the two that stick out the most to me ....Sigh!
A more in depth review will come in time but for now, even with the changes GW's design team has made (the crazy Gitz that they are), I can tell ya that Da Orkz are here to stay. As always we adapt quickly and will be Krump'n everything in our path for ages to come! Nothing is going to slow down DA WAAAAGH!

Along with the various other projects on the go, I just had to crack open the new kits I snagged along side the codex and it sure didn't take me long once I got back to Da Mek Shop to get them built up.
First up... Those Flashy Gitz!

Holy Bitz Batman... probably one of the most packed kits in 40k. The amount of bitz that comes with the Flash Gitz is crazy good. They are able to be built in a ton of different ways and you'll have lots of spare bitz for your other orky creations down the road! Something we Mek Heads always like to see.
Next up... Da Dokta is in!

Next to the Flash Gitz above, the new Painboy model is one of my favorites among the new Ork releases! Sadly its a mono pose figure, but that doesn't stop this guy from showing off his character! I added in the Marine Helmet to enhance his pose slightly and to show off some Ork Kultur!

"Alas poor Oomie... I Krump'd ya good!"
Aside from a few Kill Team games (which are always a blast), I have yet to have my first big game with the new codex. I'll be sure to fill ya all in once that does happen as Waaaagh Skarshak is itching to let loose with some new shiny toys!
Back to paint desk I go as there's always something being worked on here in Da Mek Shop.
Catch ya next time all, this is Skarshak... Out.

There's a new Mek in town!

Welcome back!
Progress continues here in Da Mek Shop as I inch ever closer to clearing off my paint desk of those unfinished projects I've had kicking around for way too long. This time around is the latest of the HQs looking for their paint job as I have finished up another Big Mek! Take a look.

As you can see, this Big Mek has had some additional tweaks made upon it. I expanded on the Kustom Force Field by adding two more "towers" and also equipped it with a proper Burna, complete with the fuel tank latched on to back. This Mek Head is now totally WYSIWYG when it comes to my favorite build for this HQ choice, though it remains to be seen if this will hold true once the codex is released on June 28th! Yes we finally know the release date of the new Ork Codex... 'Bout time too. Only 10 days to go (as of this blog posting).

This Big Mek will come in at 120pts going by its current build which puts me just 17pts shy of 8000pts painted for Waaaagh Skarshak! Meh close enough! Hahahahaha.

Next up to complete in Da Mek Shop is going to be this guy.....

Good ol' Buzzgob from Imperial Armour 8 and his two lackeys Nitnuckle & Lunk. I've only got em primed up at this point but I'm hoping it won't be long till they're all good to go. Even primed up a set of Ork Barricades to act as my Aegis Defence Line in future games... I'll be plugging away at those as well.
Granted I wont have much time in the near future as this coming weekend I'll be heading to the city (Toronto) for the week to catch up with a few old friends. This trip works out well with the bonus that the new Ork Codex will be released during my visit, so you can bet I'll be returning with some new goodies... I have been eyeing up that new Gorkanaut Kit!
Keep them dice rolling all and I'll catch ya once I've returned from the wilds of the concrete jungle!
Until then, this is Skarshak... Out.

Da Boss is Here!

Heya Greenskins!
A few weeks back I had posted one of the Kustom Creations by my friend Kyle Reekie. He had surprised me with a gift that would take on the role of Warboss Skarshak himself in my future games!

Here we see Skarshak in his full unpainted glory.
You can check out how he was built in this previous blog entry!
Fast forward a few weeks and I can now show off the finished model and latest painted addition to Waaaagh Skarshak.
What better than Da Boss himself!
He's more Machine now than Ork... Twisted & Evil!
Side shot of some trophy's and Skarshak's Kustom Supa-Blasta.
 Smile for Da WAAAAAGH!
A Proper Trophy! In honor of a fellow Dorklord.
Wagrimm "Da Krumpa" Skarshak... has now entered the game!
Kyle Reekie, you do good work. This model was a fun one to paint up, even if it was a bugger to get into a few places LOL. I still may add some extra touches to the base, but for now, Da Boss is good to go and just in time for the new Ork Codex due out shortly.

For now seeing as I already have Ghazghkull Thraka included in the points for my "Painted" Waaaagh, I'm going to point up Skarshak as a Mega Armoured Warboss (for now). This will see him at 130pts.

Add that to the 120pts for these guys I also recently painted up.......

Waaaagh Skarshak now has a new "Painted" total of 7863pts!
I may actually see 8000pts before the next codex arrives after all! Funny that.
I'll keep ya posted for sure and wish you all the best in your current and future painting endeavors.
Until the next dice rolls.
Skarshak... Out!
